Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MPG International Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use this website. We comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong ("PDPO") and its six Data Protection Principles.
1. Who we are
The data user responsible for your personal data is MPG International Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong. Our company registration number is 78565230. Our address is Room 604, Tower A, New Trade Plaza, 6 On Ping Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. You can contact us about this policy in writing at Room 604, Tower A, New Trade Plaza, 6 On Ping Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong or by phone at +86 171 6994 1330.
2. What personal data we collect
When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect:
- the subject of your enquiry;
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number, if you provide it;
- the content of your message;
- your consent to the processing of your data.
Together with your message we automatically record technical data: the date and time of submission, the country determined from your IP address, your browser's user agent and the address of the page from which the form was sent. We do not store your IP address.
If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the website. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Providing your data is voluntary. If you do not provide the required fields, we will not be able to receive and respond to your request.
3. Why we use your data (DPP 1 and DPP 3)
We collect and use the data from the contact form only to receive, process and respond to your request. We use technical data to protect the form from spam and abuse. We use analytics data, if you consent, to understand how visitors use the website and to improve it.
We will not use your personal data for any new purpose without your prior voluntary and express consent.
4. Direct marketing
We do not use your personal data in direct marketing and do not provide it to others for use in direct marketing. If this ever changes, we will ask for your consent in advance as required by Part 6A of the PDPO, and you will be able to opt out at any time free of charge.
5. How long we keep your data (DPP 2)
We keep messages sent through the contact form for 24 months from the date of submission. After that, they are automatically deleted. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the data we hold is accurate.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, the database in which messages are stored, and Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the form from automated submissions. Turnstile is subject to the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum;
- Google LLC — Google Analytics, only if you consent to analytics cookies;
- our enquiry management service — the system to which messages are forwarded so that our team can respond to them.
We require our service providers to protect personal data and to use it only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose personal data where required by law.
7. Transfer of data outside Hong Kong
Our service providers may store and process your personal data outside Hong Kong, including in the United States, the European Union and other countries where they operate data centres. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data receives a level of protection comparable to that under the PDPO.
8. How we protect your data (DPP 4)
We take reasonable practical steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use. Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to stored messages is limited to authorised staff.
9. Your rights (DPP 5 and DPP 6)
Under the PDPO you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal data about you and request a copy of it (a Data Access Request);
- ask us to correct personal data about you that is inaccurate (a Data Correction Request);
- obtain information about our policies and practices in relation to personal data.
To make a request, contact us in writing at Room 604, Tower A, New Trade Plaza, 6 On Ping Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong or by phone at +86 171 6994 1330. We will respond within 40 days, as required by the PDPO. We may charge a fee that is not excessive for complying with a Data Access Request.
10. Withdrawing your consent
You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time by contacting us in writing at Room 604, Tower A, New Trade Plaza, 6 On Ping Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong or by phone at +86 171 6994 1330. We will then delete the messages you have sent us, unless we are required by law to keep them. You can withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time using the "Change your consent" link at the bottom of every page.
